Hi! Back from holidays! How are you?...That bad? hum...
Well, well... This is a "brush-test" I did some time ago, directly on Painter. The model was my cat "Manchi": she was sleeping on my legs during the process!!

Holidays

The 62 pages of the new book are ready to be colored. Here is a sample of some, mixed with storyboard pages, and a fun provisional logo.
Now is time for holidays (for me that means working on another place ,sigh!), so this blog will be really boring during some time.

The past weekend, the third book of OZ received an award on the first Festival of BD at Lyon. To say it in four words: great city, very nice people, and this beautifull gift. Merci beaucoup! :)

Ink&Color test.

This is one of the ink tests I did when I was thinking on doing my next album that way. This is the main character design, but please don´t look at his huge ear! :P Thanks for all the support received.

Here ,some storyboards from the last book of Oz, the volume 3 that is going to be released this week in France. This part of the process is where I find more fun, as it is where it´s decided almost everything after the script, and you can feel you are "creating" something.

Inmortal!

This is a drawing/tribute for a making-off book of "La Chronique des Inmortels", a great german comic-book based on the novels of Wolfgang Hohlbein, with a script adaptation by Benjamin Von Eckartsberg, and the excellent art of Thomas Von Kummant.

The End?

The last week I finished the volume 3 of this books of OZ. It´s a strange feeling when you have been involved on something that deep, where you have put so much of yourself, and it arrives to the end. Maybe I should say "sad but proud"...Anyway, from here I would like to say thanks to all the people who has been supporting and encouraging me during the hard work, starting with my dear friends David Chauvel and Thomas Ragon, who have been so great that have made of this work something really special ; and let me say a big thank you to all the people at the forums of "Artbox" , "Catsuka" ,"CafeSalé" and "Naimoka" for being so nice and warm. And of course to all the people visiting this blog, near 68.000 visits from the begginning until today, and from many, many countries that I´m really impressed (And when I think I wasn´t sure that this blog would be a good idea!:-D). Thank you so much!
Now is my time to have a little rest and prepare the coming projects (don´t ask! it´s a secret! ;P) . I´ll keep posting here all what I can. It´s a pleasure!

Chroniques de Sillage

This is one of the five illustrations for the next album of "Chroniques de Sillage" ("Sillage" is a succesfull series of sci-fi BD´s in France by the hands of Morvan and Buchet, Delcourt Editions).
